One of the many things I noticed when I got back from America — aside from the fact that the children were much taller than I remembered (the grandparents are right, they do get bigger each time you see them) — was that Jessica’s language skills had come on a long way. She was confidently using four word sentences or even longer. This week she started asking questions for the first time — “Wat ‘appened, Daddy?!” — at a very similar age to when Ben started.
